My sister gave me a challenge...

She wanted a "baby carrier". But not just any baby carrier... one like The Ergo Baby Carrier... or The Moshi Baby Carrier... or even the Mei Tai Carrier. She asked if I would be able to make one for her. (I wasn't convinced I had the sewing skills) I took her challenge.

I love my Ergo. My 2.5 year old has lived in it most of her life. I couldn't live without it. So, naturally, that was my guide.

I thought about it........ took her suggestions into consideration... made a few tweaks here and there..... searched for the perfect fabrics.... and finally........ Here is my own brand of carrier.

The "Povia" infant insert

The "Povia" interior

(adjustable waist & arms straps)

The "Povia" exterior

The Wall.

I still have yet to complete the vaulted/eve part of the wall.... AND I need to add the collage of frames/photos to pull off "the vision." But this part has taken me long enough, so here is a pic of the just-about-done (and slightly infamous among those of you that have heard me talk about it since the end of last year....) wall.
